What’s your price-point and how do you pick your restaurants?

My restaurant picks range from $$ to $$$ with average ratings of 4*+. I love restaurants that offer great food, impeccable service, and an unpretentious atmosphere. Good vibes are a must. I’m usually paying for one so I don’t mind spending a little more for an experience - usually $50 + tax + tip, but I’ve hit $70 on occasion (usually on vacation + inflation).

Can you explain your rating scale?

No. Just kidding, but I take no credit for it since it’s based on Michelin star ratings and I don’t always rate things, so here you go:

  • 1 out of 3 stars: High quality experience, worth the stop

  • 2 out of 3 stars: Excellent experience, worth a detour

  • 3 out of 3 stars: Exceptional experience, worth a special journey

  • $$$$$: Unless you’re made of money… maybe don’t do that

Is this your full-time job?

Nope, just a passion project (for now)! By day, you can find me working as a technology strategy and transformation consultant at a Big 4 firm, driving digital strategy and agile transformation projects for public sector clients while drinking a concerning amount of bubly. I’m also a certified mat Pilates instructor and occasionally teach pop-up classes!

I had the honour of facilitating a panel for EY Canada’s inaugural Empowered Woman, Empower Woman conference for the firm’s managers + senior managers in Sept 2023.
